Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, who else sees it, and how to make us delete it. Written in plain English, because a policy nobody can read protects nobody.
Last updated 7 October 2026. JVLN Performance, Lincoln, Nebraska, United States. Questions about anything on this page: jvlnperformance@gmail.com.
The short version
We collect what you type into our forms and nothing else. We use it to coach you, to reply to you, and to send you email if you asked for it. We do not sell it, we do not trade it, and we never see your card number. You can ask us to delete it at any time and we will.
What we collect, and where
We have eight forms. Each one collects only what it needs.
| Form | What it collects |
|---|---|
| Free JVLN Assessment | First name, email address, and your ten answers: how long you have thrown, your sprinting, jumping, throwing power, technique, mobility and weight-room strength, how competition goes for you, what support you have, and how much time you can train. Plus whether you ticked the box to hear from us |
| Request your free session | Name, email address, the dates and times that suit you, your time zone |
| Contact | Name, email address, what you are asking about, your message |
| Submit footage | Name, the email you purchased with, a link to your video, what you are working on |
| Camps | Name, email address, where you would like a camp, your message, preferred timing |
| Camp updates list | Email address only. Nothing else, because the only thing it does is tell you when a camp is announced |
| Coaching waitlist | Name, email address, location, which coaching you are interested in |
| Your intake, after you buy a package | Name, the email you purchased with, your age, a parent or guardian’s name and email if you are under 18, where you train and your time zone, how long you have thrown, your best throw, your goal, your training week, any other sports and track and field events you compete in, the facilities you can use, what you consider your strengths and weaknesses, your other coaches, anything you choose to tell us about injuries or pain, your availability, and a video link. Your mobile number if you want the text and voice-message support on your package |
We never ask for your home address. The intake form is the only one that asks for a phone number, it is optional there, and it exists so we can send you the voice messages your package already includes. We ask your age because our Service Terms need a parent or guardian to agree on behalf of anyone under 18.
About injuries. The intake has one optional box asking whether there is anything we should know about injuries or pain. We are javelin coaches, not medical professionals, and we ask only so that we do not write you a plan that hurts. We do not request medical records, diagnoses or doctors’ letters, and you are free to leave it blank. Whatever you write there is kept with the rest of your intake, is never published, and is deleted with it when you ask.
Your assessment answers
While you are taking the assessment your answers are held in your own browser and nowhere else. They are sent to us only when you enter your email at the end and submit. Your answers never appear in a web address, so they cannot be read from a link, a browser history or a server log, and they are not passed to any analytics tool.
Your result is built from your own answers. We keep them so we can explain your result to you and prepare for your session.
Your footage
You send us video by giving us a link to a file you host, usually on a drive or a cloud folder you control. We do not take a copy beyond what we need to review it, and we do not publish, share or use your footage for marketing unless you tell us in writing that we may.
You can revoke access to the link whenever you like. Once your review is delivered we no longer need it.
Who else is involved
Three companies touch your information because we use them to run the site.
- Netlify hosts the website and receives form submissions. Your submission is stored in our Netlify account.
- Stripe processes payments. You enter your card details on Stripe's own page, not ours. We never see or store your card number. Stripe tells us your name, your email address and that the payment succeeded.
- Google receives our email, because our address is a Gmail address, and serves the two typefaces the site uses. Loading a font means your browser makes a request to Google, which can see your IP address.
We do not use advertising trackers, we do not run retargeting pixels, and we do not share your information with anyone for their own marketing.
Analytics
At the time of this update the site runs no analytics at all. If that changes we will say so here, name the tool, and update the date at the top of this page before it goes live.
Athletes under 18
A lot of the athletes we coach are in high school, so please read this part.
You must be at least 13 to use the forms on this site. If you are under 13, ask a parent or guardian to contact us instead and we will work with them.
If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission before you send us anything or buy anything. We take a purchase or a form submission as confirmation that permission has been given.
A parent or guardian may ask us at any time to show them what we hold about their child, to correct it, or to delete it. Email us and we will do it. We will not knowingly keep information from a child under 13, and if we discover we have, we will delete it.
Email we send you
We email you to reply to you, to arrange your sessions, and to deliver your coaching. That is part of providing the service and it is not marketing.
We send you anything else only if you ticked the box asking for it. Every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link, and you can also just reply and ask us to stop. We will not add you to a mailing list because you bought something.
How long we keep things
While you are a customer, for as long as you are one. After that we keep your records for up to two years, because athletes often come back and it helps us pick up where we left off. Things we need for tax and accounting we keep for seven years, which is what we are required to do.
If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will, except for the records we are legally required to retain.
What you can ask us to do
Whatever country you are in, you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, send you a copy, or stop emailing you. One email to jvlnperformance@gmail.com is enough. We will respond within 30 days and usually much faster.
We will not charge you for asking and we will not treat you differently for asking.
Security, honestly stated
The site is served over HTTPS, payments are handled entirely by Stripe, and access to form submissions is limited to Maggie and Sam. We are a two-person coaching business, not a security company, so we keep the amount of information we hold as small as we can. That is the most effective protection we can offer you.
If something ever goes wrong, we will tell the people affected directly rather than quietly.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant and we have your email address, we will tell you.
