Service Terms
What you are buying, how renewals and cancellations work, what happens if a session has to move, and what we can and cannot promise you.

Who this is between
These terms are between you and JVLN Performance, a coaching business run by Maggie Malone-Hardin and Sam Hardin in Lincoln, Nebraska. Buying anything on this site, or sending us a form, means you accept them.
If you are under 18, a parent or guardian has to agree to these terms on your behalf before you buy.
What you are buying
Coaching. A human being watching your throw and telling you what they see.
Our four monthly packages are Video Feedback, Coaching Support, Technique and Complete. Each one lists exactly what is included each billing month on its own page, and that list is the agreement. We also sell four single sessions: a recorded Video Review, a live Video Analysis, a Virtual Throwing Session and In-Person Coaching in Lincoln.
Everything is priced in US dollars. If your bank converts the amount, the rate and any fee are between you and your bank.
Subscriptions, renewal and cancellation
A subscription renews every month until you cancel it. We say so on every page that sells one and on the checkout page itself.
Cancel by emailing jvlnperformance@gmail.com before your next renewal date. We will confirm the date it takes effect. You keep everything you have already paid for until the end of that billing month; we do not cut you off the moment you cancel.
Buying one month is a single payment. It does not renew and there is nothing to cancel.
Monthly allowances belong to that billing month. They do not roll over, and we cannot hold them for later, because the thing you are buying is our time in that month.
Taking a break
You can pause rather than cancel. Video Feedback pauses for up to 90 days, once in a rolling 12 months. Coaching Support, Technique and Complete pause for up to 60 days, once in a rolling 12 months.
Billing and coaching both stop during a pause. A coaching slot is not held open for you, so restarting depends on us having room. If you have not restarted when the pause period ends, the subscription closes and you are not charged again.
Booking, rescheduling and missed sessions
Live sessions are arranged by email rather than through a booking calendar. After you buy, we reply within 48 hours, including weekends, to agree a time.
Rescheduling. Tell us at least 24 hours before and we will move it, as often as you need. We would always rather reschedule than have you turn up unable to throw.
Missed sessions. If you do not appear and have not told us, we wait 15 minutes and then treat the session as delivered. If life got in the way, tell us and we will almost certainly find you another time: we are coaches, not a parking meter.
Weather and facilities. If weather or a closed facility stops a Virtual Throwing Session or In-Person Coaching going ahead, for either of us, we reschedule it at no cost. Nobody is charged for rain.
If we miss one. If we cannot make a session we have agreed, we reschedule it and, if that does not suit you, we refund it.
Recorded reviews
A recorded Video Review is delivered within 48 hours of us receiving usable footage and your completed intake, including weekends. The clock starts when both arrive, not when you pay.
Usable footage means we can actually see the throw. If what you send is too dark, too far away or cut off, we will tell you and ask for another clip rather than guess.
Refunds
If we have not delivered something you paid for, we refund it. No argument.
Once a session has happened or a review has been delivered, it is not refundable, because the thing you bought was our time and attention and you received it.
If you are unhappy with a session, tell us. We would rather put it right than keep money from someone who feels let down.
Your footage and what we may do with it
Your footage stays yours. We will not publish it, post it or use it in marketing unless you tell us in writing that we may.
By sending it, you give us permission to watch it, annotate it and record a review of it for you. That is all.
What we send you, the reviews, plans and cues, is for you and your coaches. Please do not resell it or publish it as your own.
What coaching is and is not
We are javelin coaches. We are not doctors, physiotherapists or athletic trainers, and nothing we send you is medical advice. If something hurts, see someone qualified before you throw again.
Throwing is a physical activity and carries risk. You are responsible for deciding that you are fit to train and for the conditions you train in.
We cannot promise a distance. We can tell you what we see, explain why, and give you something specific to work on. What happens after that depends on your training, your body and a good deal of time. Any result described anywhere on this site is one athlete's, not a forecast of yours.
Eligibility rules are yours to check
If you compete under a school, college or federation, their rules on outside coaching are your responsibility to check. We will work with your coaches gladly, and with your permission, but we cannot tell you what your governing body allows.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we will update this page and the date at the top. A change does not alter the price or the terms of a subscription you already have until your next renewal, and we will tell you before it does.
